My name is Grant Ferguson, I am a creative expressionist from the
Fraser Valley. The Original Spoon Painter! Always finding therapeutic value in Art, I strive to let my art flow freely through my mind to my canvas. I believe art is boundless, and that everyone brings a form of artistry to this reality, even if you don't claim to be an artist. Realism, Surrealism, Abstract, and Conceptual Art are among some of my favorite genres. I love the challenge and process of creating realistic pieces, however I found myself needing a break, a sense of freedom from the detail heavy attention that realism demands! SO I exchanged the paint brush for a SPOON! Using the spoon instead I was forced to focus on contrast, and heavy lines of action. Making sure I got the point across using less. Less is More is the very basis of my Spoon technique! I encourage anyone looking to free themselves from perfection once in a while to try themselves! Aside from spoons, I also do charcoal work, airbrushing, brushed acrylic, watercolor, digital art (logos, custom designs, nfts, album art etc.) & Tattoos! As well as Music & writing.
I take great pride in bringing your visions to life as well whether its a portrait of your pet, a crazy idea you have and would like to see on a canvas, a gift for someone or just wanting to treat your self and your space! I am always open for commission projects! With a fairly quick turn around don't hesitate to get that piece you've always wanted!
